The beloved Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for Nintendo Switch has been a runaway success since its release several years ago. Nintendo has been eager to reward long-time fans with new content, such as the Booster Course Pass, which recently brought the classic character Birdo to the game. Now, it appears that five more characters could be joining the roster soon.

The five new characters have not yet been officially announced, but there are some hints as to who they may be. For starters, the new characters will likely be classic characters from previous Mario Kart Tour games, as that has been the trend thus far. 

Additionally, the characters will likely be drawn from the Super Mario universe, as most of the characters in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe are. Rumors have been circulating that Wario, Daisy, Waluigi, Dry Bones, and Boo could be joining the game.

In addition to the new characters, a few new courses could also be added to the game. These courses will likely be based on the new characters’ home worlds, adding an extra level of nostalgia for longtime fans of the game. The new courses could also feature some of the characters’ signature moves, such as Wario’s shoulder bash and Boo’s ghostly powers.

While there is still no official confirmation as to who the five new characters will be, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe fans can rest assured that new content is coming soon.
