The upcoming Update 2.0 for Cyberpunk 2077 is set to overhaul its police and wanted system, providing players with greater insight into how to evade law enforcement and introducing the option to engage with minibosses by maintaining high Heat levels. 

The revised Heat gauge resembles Grand Theft Auto's notoriety mechanism. Five levels can be accumulated by indulging in various criminal activities, with successful evasion of police pursuit achievable by steering clear of crime scenes and staying out of sight. 

On the other hand, players seeking a combative approach can challenge themselves against law enforcement when they hit a max of 5 stars on their Heat. At this point, Max-Tac, a formidable in-game force, will intervene, unleashing a series of minibosses for a nail-biting encounter. The revamped feature should contribute to a more thrilling, immersive gaming experience upon the release of Cyberpunk 2077's Update 2.0 and the Phantom Liberty expansion on September 26.
